AWS Technical Essentials Day – delivered virtually on July 12th, 2019 from 9:00am – 5:00pm

Each student is required to register on our learning management system ahead of attending the training. This system creates a record of each student’s AWS Training, permits them to provide feedback on the training and access to print off their certificate of attendance. It is also important to do this prior to the class so it does not take up valuable classroom time.

Sign in to the New AWS Training and Certification Portal (different from the AWS Management Console)

  • Go to the AWS Training and Certification Portal.  Please use the following links to register:

1st and 3rd Monday Call With AWS

We will be suspending the meetings for the summer, so look back in October for when they will resume.

On the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 2pm we host an open one hour meeting with our AWS engineer.  Any and all Northwestern community members currently using or with an interest in AWS are invited to participate.  The 3rd Monday meeting will have a topic for discussion followed by Q&A.

Meeting information below-

TBA

Azure Hour

This is the weekly meeting place, hosted by Microsoft, to bring your questions related to any Azure topic and to learn about a specific topic that we’ll choose based on customer feedback and current trends. The meeting is held every Friday at 1:00pm CST and will follow an agenda similar to the one outlined below.  The goal is to provide a community where you can bring your questions, scenarios, and challenges forward to your peers and to your account team for general discussion.

Agenda

Q & A – bring your specific scenario and questions to this call and we’ll either help you immediately, or we’ll get the answer and follow-up.

Topic of the week – We’ll choose a current and relevant topic each week to discuss in an open forum.
